Empowered

Over the last few months, I have started collaborating with the beautiful women of Rise with Ivy, a Chiropractic studio that specializes in Network Spinal and Energetics. Connecting with this unique community of people, who are intentional about their healing and growth, has given me immeasurable expansion.

You know when you just click with people? When you meet someone who inspires within you the belief that you can be everything you've always known you can be? That's the experience I've had with this community. Like I can be myself, hot mess and all, while also becoming the best version of myself. The studio teaches how to let go of your past pain and focus on how to transform your current lifestyle. Which is something I've been exploring within myself the last few years.

After working together and being inspired by their energy, I came up with the idea of doing a shoot of empowered woman being outdoors in nature and being comfortable in their own skin, because that's what I strive to be.

This photo shoot with them was so playful and fun! As a photographer, it's a little funny to work with people who stress themselves out over a photo shoot, wanting everything to be perfect. But the best photos I've captured are always with people who are not striving for perfection. They come to their session open to having a good time and willing to be a little messy.

These ladies were so joyful, it was contagious. We laughed, we danced and we captured the beautiful energy that they emanate. This session really opened my eyes to the kind of photos I want to take. Photos that are authentic and that have impact.

I hope all women at some point get to have their photo taken that makes them feel beautiful and seen. And I hope all women stop aiming for perfection in their photos and learn to see the beauty that being real brings.
