Over the last few months, I have started collaborating with the beautiful women of Rise with IVY, a chiropractic studio that specializes in NetworkSpinal Care and Energetics. Connecting with this unique community of people who are intentional about their healing and growth has given me immeasurable expansion in my life.

You know when you just click with people? When you meet someone who inspires within you the belief that you can be everything you've always known you can be? That's the experience I've had with this community. Like I can be myself, hot mess and all, while also becoming the best version of myself. The studio teaches how to let go of your past pain and focus on how to transform your current lifestyle—something I've been exploring within myself for the last few years.

After working together and being inspired by their energy, I came up with the idea of doing a shoot of empowered women being outdoors in nature and being comfortable in their own skin—because that's what I strive to be.

This photoshoot with them was so playful and fun! As a photographer, it's a little funny to work with people who stress themselves out over a photo shoot, wanting everything to be perfect. But the best photos I've captured are always with people who aren't striving for perfection. They come to their session open to having a good time and willing to be a little messy.

These ladies were so joyful it was contagious. We laughed, we danced, and we captured the beautiful energy that they emanate. This session really opened my eyes to the kind of photos I want to take—photos that are authentic and that have impact.

I hope all women at some point get to have their photo taken for images that make them feel beautiful and seen. And I hope all women stop aiming for perfection in their photos and learn to see the beauty that being real and authentic brings.

Like I said before, this shoot featured women from Rise With IVY Chiropractic Studio. It's been a few years since I did this session, but the images I captured are still being used in IVY's branding on their social medias, emails, and website. This just proves to me that having images that inspire, resonate, and reflect the truth of who you are (and who you aspire to be in your business) is integral to authentic, holistic branding that lasts. This shoot was one of the ones that helped me realize how all-encompassing brand photography can be if you do it correctly and how much I felt called to turn my client's business dreams into reality through impactful branding photos.

Now I'm specializing in brand photography that tells a meaningful story, that feels authentic, that captures the raw, real, and messy bits of your business. Because I believe the world could use a lot more of that right now.
